Today, 20th December, 2021 was the pre-determined day for the verification of the candidates nomination papers for the Narayanganj City Corporation election 2021.

The screening process started in front of Narayanganj Deputy Commissioner’s Office in the morning. At that time, Returning Officer Mahfuza Akter declared 6 nomination valid for the post of mayoral out of 8 candidates and declared 2 candidates ineligibility as non-participation in the election. These who announced their nominations are (1)Awami League nominated candidate Dr.Selina Hayat Ivy, (2)Satranat Candidate -Taimur Alam Khandaker,(3) Khilafat Majlis candidate – ABM Sirajul Islam Mamun, (4)Kalyan Party- Md. Rashed Ferdous, (5)Islamic Movement Bangladesh – Mashum Billah, (6)Khilafat Movement – Md. Jasim Uddin.

On the other hand, is being declared the nomination of 162 candidates valid for a total of 27 wards for the City Corporation election.

Mentioned that according to the schedule of the Narayanganj city corporation election 2021, the last date for withdrawal of candidature is 27th December, allotment of symbol of candidate is 28th December and election is 16th January 2022.
