Mobile court raid on medicine and cosmetics market at Chittagong Road

To protect public health and ensure quality medicines and cosmetics, the district administration has conducted a mobile court in the Chittagong Road area of ​​Siddhirganj, Narayanganj.

 

The drive was conducted in the Nekbar Ali Market area of ​​Chittagong Road under Siddhirganj Police Station in Narayanganj on Wednesday October 7 2026. A total of 150,000 taka was collected in three cases for violating the Medicines and Cosmetics Act through the drive.

 

The mobile court was conducted by Suha Tabil, Assistant Commissioner and Executive Magistrate of the Narayanganj District Administration.

 

According to the drive sources, this step was taken to prevent the sale of adulterated, expired and unauthorized medicines and cosmetics in the market. In the drive, a total of 150,000 taka (one lakh fifty thousand taka) was imposed on three institutions for violating various sections of the Medicines and Cosmetics Act, 2023 and the fine was collected immediately.

 

After the drive, Executive Magistrate Suha Tabil said that the district administration’s zero tolerance policy against the sale of adulterated and unapproved medicines and low-quality cosmetics will continue to protect public health. She also said that such drives will continue regularly in the public interest.
