This information was given in a letter from the Department of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHHE) on Thursday (December 12).
It said that after the digital lottery process is completed, the heads of institutions, guardians and students can access the link and download the results using their assigned ID and password.
It is learned that Special Assistant to the Ministry of Education (State Minister) Professor Dr. Md. Aminul Islam will be present as the chief guest at the lottery ceremony.
According to sources from the Department of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHHE), admission applications for classes one to nine in government and private schools in the country began on November 12. It would continue until November 30.
A total of 9 lakh 83 thousand 539 students, both government and private, applied for admission in these 18 days.
Of these, 635,072 applications have been submitted for admission to government schools and 348,467 to private schools. Now, students will be selected from among the applicants through a digital lottery and the admission process will begin after the lottery.
Mohammad Aziz Uddin, Deputy Director of the Secondary Wing of the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education and Member Secretary of the Dhaka Metropolitan Admission Committee, told the media on Thursday (December 12) that students will receive an SMS on the mobile number they used to apply for admission after the lottery process is over.
He also said that after that, parents can download and print the lottery results by logging into the designated website (https://gsa.teletalk.com.bd/) using their login ID and password. Head Master can also download and print the lottery results of their respective schools by logging in to that website with their ID and password.
