BNP leader Iqbal suspended for assaulting journalist in Siddhirganj

Siddhirganj Thana BNP General Secretary Mohammad Iqbal Hossain has been suspended from all posts for assaulting media journalist Minhaj Aman in Siddhirganj, Narayanganj.

 

This information was given in a statement signed by BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi on Friday (December 13). The statement said that Iqbal Hossain’s actions on the charge of physically assaulting and insulting journalist Minhaj Aman with his party members are against party discipline. For this, he has been suspended from all posts, including primary party membership.

 

According to sources, the incident took place on Friday afternoon in an AC bus (ASEAN) in the Sanarpar area of ​​Narayanganj on the Dhaka-Chittagong highway.

 

The bus driver Md. Nayan alleged that BNP leader Iqbal Hossain, who was among the passengers, scolded him for frequently applying brakes due to traffic congestion and threatened to beat him up if he retaliated.

 

Later, after the bus stopped at Sanarpar, about 25-30 Party Activists attacked the bus and beat up the driver. Journalist Minhaj Aman was also beaten up when he protested the incident.
