Student Simanta murder’s Main accused arrested in Narayanganj. Police have arrested Anik (28), the snatcher, in the murder of Md. Wazed Simanta (20) in Narayanganj. The arrested Anik is a professional snatcher and has 8 cases against him.

Narayanganj district Superintendent of Police (SP) Pratyush Kumar Majumder delivered this information at a press conference on Wednesday (December 18) afternoon.

Arrested Anik (28) is the son of Nayan Mia of Nayamati area of ​​Narayanganj city. The knife used in the murder and Simanta’s mobile phone were recovered from him.

Narayanganj district Superintendent of Police (SP) Pratyush Kumar Majumder further said that in the early hours of December 12, the snatchers blocked the road of university student Wazed Simanta and surrounded him. At that time, he got into a fight with the snatchers. At one point, Simanta was stabbed and injured. He later died at Dhaka Medical College Hospital on December 14 while undergoing treatment.

We arrested the snatcher with a knife last night. We were able to recover the mobile phone from him. Several others are involved in this incident. They will also be brought to justice. In the initial investigation, we have learned that three people are involved in this murder.
