On the occasion of the 6th year, Narayanganj Online Press Club inauguration ceremony was held for the development and welfare of journalists. The press club founder and Convenor MA Mannan Bhuiyan presided over the inauguration ceremony held at Narayanganj District Government Public Library auditorium at 11 am on Monday, January 30.

The ceremony started with the recitation of the Holy Quran. Holy Quran was recited by Md Shahadat Hossain Tawhid, the founding member of the club. The list of thirty One members was announced by Mohammad Hossain, also another founding member along with the 11-member convening committee.

The formalities of the program started with the welcome speech of Md. Symun Islam, Member Secretary. In his speech, he expressed his conviction that Narayanganj Online Press Club will work towards making Digital Bangladesh.

Narayanganj Superintendent of Police Golam Mostafa Russell was present as the chief guest in the grand opening ceremony. There are also present Narayanganj Zila Parisad  Chairman Babu Chandan Sheel, Sadar UNO Md. Rifat Ferdous, Deputy Director of Women Affairs Department Md. Mahbubul Alam, District Public Library Directorate spoke as a special guests.

The Chief Guest Narayanganj Police Superintendent Golam Mostafa Russell and Narayanganj Zilla Parishad Chairman Babu Chandan Sheel gave crest among the convening committee members and general members.

Librarian Debashish Bhadra, Sadar Upazila Family Planning Officer Pradeep Roy and Birmuktijodha Gazi Mizanur Rahman was also present.

In the 2nd stage of the program, the convening committee distributed membership certificates among all the members of Narayanganj Online Press Club. A total of 31 honorable members received these certificates.

There were Additional Superintendent of Police Sohan, Police Inspector of PBI Dhaka Range ATM Aktaruzzaman, Acting Editor of Dainik Yadar Md Tofazzal Hossain, Masudur Rahman Dipu of Daily Oporad Report, Fatulla Reporters Club President Kazi Anis, Secretary Md Monir, Khandkar Hafez Md Awlad also present on the occasion.

Also present were the joint convener of the newly formed committee of Narayanganj Online Press Club Mazharul Islam, committee members Md. Monir Hossain, Mahmud Hossain Ripon, Al Mamun Khan, Mehdi Manjur Bakul, Mazharul Islam Munna, Md. Jasim Uddin and others. Press club founder members Mohammad Hossain, Shahadat Hossain Touhid and print and electronic media of Narayanganj district along with online news portal media journalists.
