A young man named Mainuddin (25) was hacked to death by another young man from the same locality while he was sitting in Itikaaf at Hazradi Chanpur Baitul Jame Masjid in Kalagachia Union under Narayanganj Bandar Upazila.

The incident took place in Chanpur area of Kalagachia Union at 5:30 pm on April 20.

The deceased Mainuddin is an auto-rickshaw driver, deceased Hazradi Chanpur area Son of Habibullah.

Local residents rescued the auto driver Mainuddin who was seriously injured and took him first to Narayanganj Victoria Hospital and later to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where the doctor on duty declared him dead.

After receiving the news of this incident, Bandar Thana police went to the spot and confirmed the truth and the local residents arrested the killer terrorist Mohim, son of Mustafa Kazi of the same area and handed him over to the police.

Initially, it is known that this incident may have happened around two people sitting in the same place inside the mosque.
