A fire broke out at Jahin Spinning Mill Limited in Araihazar. The fire broke out at a yarn factory located in the Jhaugrah area of ​​the upazila around 11 pm yesterday.

The two godowns of cotton and yarn of the spinning mill were completely burnt down in the fire. In addition, some yarn making machines on the north side of the spinning mill were damaged in the fire.

The owner of the spinning mill, BNP’s Central Committee’s Co-Economic Affairs Secretary Mr. Mahmudur Rahman Sumon, arrived at the scene at night and said that an estimated loss of Tk 15-20 crore had been caused.

Upon receiving the news, Araihazar Upazila Executive Officer Sajjad Hossain, Araihazar Police Station Officer-in-Charge Enayet Hoson, Narayanganj Fire Service and Civil Defense Assistant Director Abdullah Al Arefin, Army Captain Jobair Hossain and an army team visited the scene.

However, no casualties were reported in the incident.
