One person was shot and at least 14 people were arrested in an overnight clash between two group over dominance in Chanpara Basti of Rupganj, Narayanganj.

In the clash that last Monday night to Tuesday morning, stone pelting and firing occurred between both sides.

A young man named Hriday Hasan Jyoti (23) was shot and he was admitted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for treatment.

According to the police, On receiving information about the clash, the police reached the spot and brought the situation under control and arrested 14 people.

There was a chase and a clash between the Joynal group of Ward No – 6 at Chanpara Basti and the Sahabuddin Group of Ward No – 3 on Monday around 1.30 am.

A young man named Hriday Hasan Jyoti, who activists of Joynal Group, was shot in the head.
