A rickshaw-riding father and daughter were killed when a brick-loaded truck hit them at Chashara in Narayanganj city.

The incident took place in front of Chasara Dak-banglow police outpost on Friday afternoon, December 10 2021.

The deceased were identified as Altab Hossain(43), and his daughter Beli Akter (14), residence of Sambhupura area in Sonargaon upazila in Narayanganj.

Fatullah Model Police Station Sub-Inspector (SI) Jahangir Alam said, Altab Hossain took his daughter Beli from Panchabati to Sonargaon by a rickshaw for a family wedding program. When the rickshaw was going to turn infornt of Zila Parishad dak-bungalow in Chasara, the rickshaw was hit by a truck carrying bricks from behind.

Police have arrested the truck driver in the incident.

He further informed , “After receiving the news, the police recovered the body and sent it to Narayanganj General Hospital morgue for autopsy.”
