National Daily Amader Shomoy Narayanganj district staff reporter Mushtaq Ahmed Shawon’s father Engineer Firoz Ahmed has passed away. [Inna Lillahi Wa Inna Ilaihi Raziun]

He breathed his last while undergoing treatment at Islami Bank Central Hospital, Kakrail, capital, on Wednesday night, 18 April 2024, at approximately 3:00 am. He was under treatment there for several days due to old age.

He was 83 years old at the time of his death. He is survived by 3 sons, 1 daughter and numerous relatives. Eldest son Farrukh Ahmed Khosru is assistant editor of The New Nation newspaper, middle son Mushtaq Ahmed Shawon is a staff reporter of daily Amader Shomoy newspaper and doctor Tanveer Ahmed Sohail is an expatriate in Canada.

On Thursday (April 18) at 8 am, the first funeral prayer was held in front of his residence in Siddhirganj’s Ward No. 3 Mukti Nagar area. Later, the body of engineer Feroze Ahmed was buried in the family graveyard at Mollar Hat village of Laksam thana in Comilla district.
