NYK celebrated National Youth Day in South Kolkata

Kolkata Correspondent : Today 12 January 2022 Nehru Yuva Kendra – South Kolkata celebrated National Youth Day & Week.

 

Maintaining all COVID19 norms & protocol this year NYK South Kolkata celebrated National Youth Day under the guidance of the District Youth Officer Antara Chakraborty in collaboration with Ramakrishna Mission, Institute of Culture and Bharat Sevashram Sangha.

To commemorate the elixir of freedom and the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, Lectures and discussions on philosophy and teachings of Swami Vivekananda, debates on the role of youth in character building, promoting nationalism, unity and inclusive growth, Declamation contest amongst youth on the philosophy and teachings of Swami Vivekananda, Meetings and seminars on what youth can do for the society (roles and responsibilities) and their expectations from the society, Role of youth in Nation Building etc. were undeundertaken.

NYK South Kolkata followed strict guidelines of COVID19 norms. Distinguished guest like Swami Bishwatmanandaji Maharaj, General Secretary Of Bhart Sevashram Sangha, Swami Suparnananda(RKM Institute of Culture) and Smt. Sudarshana Mukherjee, councilor of Ward 68 attend the programme and addressed the youths.

 

Bishwatmanandaji said ”human life only gloried into the service of humanity and by helping each other in the society” while Swami Suparnananda discussed the role of youth in Nation Building.

It is to be mentioned that each year in a remarkable manner, where series of activities are undertaken with participation of youth from all walks of life to highlight the importance of youth as well as give them a sense of self pride and engage them in mega Nation Building activity.
