The ruling Awami League has started distributing nomination forms from the central office of the Bangladesh Awami League on Bangabandhu Avenue in Narayanganj from November 26,2021 for upcoming Narayanganj City Corporation Election.
Following this,the current mayor Dr. Selina Hayat Ivy was collected her nomination paper on Monday. There are Several Awami League leaders and activists collected nomination for her, most notably Jahangir Alam was present, the joint general secretary of Narayanganj district Awami League.
On the other hand, senior vice-president of Narayanganj metropolitan Awami League, Chandan sheel received his nomination paper from the central office of Bangladesh Awami League located at Dhanmondi in the capital on November 28. His son Arijit Sheel collected nomination papers for Narayanganj City Corporation (Nasik) on his behalf.
On the other side, Advocate Khokon Saha, General Secretary of Narayanganj Metropolitan Awami League, a popular heavyweight candidate in Narayanganj, collected nomination forms from the Awami League Central Office this afternoon. Advocate Khokon Saha’s nomination was collected by his political secretary Sujit Sarkar.
It may be mentioned that final candidate Name for the post of mayor of Nasik may be announced at the meeting of the Central Nomination Board on 3rd December 2021 and the Narayanganj City Corporation election is likely to be held in the last week of January 2022.
