Two lakh taka collected by conducting an anti-adulterated food drive through mobile courts in various places in Narayanganj district.

Today (8 April 2026) from noon to noon, a mobile court was conducted in collaboration with Narayanganj RAB-11 and Bangladesh Safe Food Authority Narayanganj at an edible oil packaging company’s factory in Chengair Khalpar area of Kachpur in the district.

During the drive, edible oil was seen being packaged, stored and marketed without BSTI license and was packaged in an unhygienic environment.

In addition, no license was found in the name of the company.

Based on the guilty plea in these crimes, a fine of two lakh (2,00,000) taka was imposed and collected on the owner of the company, Mohin Bhuiyan, for packaging food products in an unregistered state as per the relevant section of the ‘Safe Food Act, 2013’.

At this time, Assistant Commissioner and Executive Magistrate Khandaker Shamit Raja led the operation.
